Location: Woodstock, New York The clients request for this project completed in 2000 was to replace the existing Kalwall facade that was failing and discolored. Our firm proposed to replace the translucent panels with a transparent tinted glass in a pattern that echoed the form of nearby trees with their branches reaching towards the heavens. The replacement of the aged panels with glass has brought the warmth and variety of natural light into the sanctuary. The renovation has also created a new experience from inside the sanctuary looking out at the changing landscape and sky throughout the seasons. The new design welcomes the public into the church across a transparent threshold and conveys to visitors and the congregation that this church is a open for all people to experience. The General Contractor for this project was Musialkiewicz Construction of Kingston, New York.
